Boxing Makes You Better CIC

Boxing Makes You Better CIC is a Community Interest Company that believes movement has the power to transform lives.

About Us

Founded in 2024, we use a unique blend of non-contact boxing, yoga, mindfulness, yoga therapy and talking therapy to support positive mental wellbeing, build resilience and help people reconnect with themselves and their communities.

Our organisation was born from the success of a community-funded project that demonstrated the profound impact boxing can have on confidence, emotional wellbeing and overall quality of life. We saw firsthand how combining physical activity with therapeutic practices created a powerful space for healing, growth and personal development.

Today, we deliver inclusive programmes that are accessible to people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, with a particular focus on those who face barriers to participation. Whether someone is managing stress, anxiety, social isolation or simply looking to improve their wellbeing, we provide a safe, supportive and welcoming environment where everyone can feel empowered to thrive.

At Boxing Makes You Better, we believe that boxing is about far more than punches. It teaches courage, discipline, self-belief and resilience. Combined with mindfulness and therapeutic practices, it becomes a powerful tool for improving mental health, strengthening communities and helping people become healthier, happier versions of themselves.

Our Philosphy

We believe that lasting wellbeing starts with the body. When we're overwhelmed, stressed or anxious, it can be impossible to think clearly or make positive changes. Through movement, breathing and connection, we help regulate the nervous system first. Only then can confidence grow, resilience develop and meaningful change begin.

Our Mission

At Growing Together Community CIC, we believe that everyone deserves access to fresh, nutritious food and opportunities to participate in their local community. Our mission is to tackle food insecurity, improve wellbeing, and create stronger neighbourhood connections through practical support and community-led initiatives.

We work alongside local residents, volunteers, organisations, and partners to create sustainable solutions that address immediate needs while building long-term resilience. By providing access to community growing spaces, educational workshops, and food distribution programmes, we empower people to make positive changes in their lives and communities.

Our approach focuses on inclusion, dignity, and collaboration. We recognise that every individual has valuable skills, experiences, and contributions to offer. Through our projects, we create welcoming environments where people can learn, share, and support one another.

Together, we are helping to create healthier communities, reduce social isolation, and ensure that no one is left behind.
